Winter Woods

I absolutely adore this fragrance! In addition, the other day I put it on in the morning and was surprised to notice I could still smell it at 4 that afternoon!

Ever since the demise of the old style Man of Aran, Winter Woods has been my favourite fragrance, and the latest batch I just received (in record time) from Ireland has done nothing to change that. The only thing that did change for me is that my admiration for the flawless service rendered by the people at the Burren Perfumery has just gone up another notch.

I bought the first Frond in 2001 and my wife has had it on her vanity since. We enjoyed the location too.

When I wear your fragrances, on more than one occasion, people ask me what fragrance I’m wearing, they literally smell your fragrance & they have to figure out where the remarkable smell is coming from. I love the earthy, natural components of the ingredients you use.

I’ve been purchasing Summer Harvest and Frond for years. When I visited the store in person last month Winter Woods was suggested to me by one of your sales clerks. I love it!!!!

As a long time (since the 1980s) customer of Vincent Craft Fragrances / The Burren Perfumery, for decades I kept dropping in every time I was in Limerick, to buy a bottle of my all-time favourite fragrance, the old-style "Man of Aran". Times change, MoA morphed into "Aran", which does nothing for me. So, I looked/sniffed through the other fragrances on offer, and in "Winter Woods" I found a fragrance that is close enough to the old MoA to instantly have become my second favourite fragrance of all time - I am currently busy emptying the third bottle. --------------------------------------------- My only problem with WW is caused by the way I use it: I always carry a small (5 ml) pumpspray flacon filled with WW in my pocket. As the beautiful bottle the Perfumery uses can't be unscrewed, I have to rip off the pump with a metal saw and a pair of pliers, plug the bottle with a rubber plug from the chem lab, and hide the plug with the pump's cover. Not ideal, but it works for me.

I was very curious to try this fragrance and must say I wasn’t disappointed! Very clean modern fragrance. I’m anxious to try more fragrances. Really happy with my purchase.

My all time favourite fragrance is the original Man of Aran; Winter Woods reminds me somewhat of that one, so it has quickly become my new favourite (as, sadly, the original MoA is no longer available). My only minor gripe is that the bottle, while beautiful, is useless for me personally, as a small pump spray flacon is part of my EDC (Every Day Carry), so I had to cut off the pump of the Winter Woods bottle and pour the content into a utilitarian screw top bottle, from which I can keep my little flacon filled.

I visited the Burren Perfumery in October. The lovely young woman who walked me through the different perfumes gave me a sample of Winter Woods in addition to the Summer Harvest I bought to take home. As the weather got colder I kept using the sample and loved it more and more! Would you all consider making a sample pack of three or four fragrances? They are perfect for travel and getting to try out small samples over time helped me fall in love with Winter Woods.

Love the perfume - scent is great - but was a little disappointed that the tester that came with it was for the same perfume (winter) - I was hoping it would be for spring or another season …. But saying that, I guess it’s nice to have a tiny tester in your bag for a top up

Sorry guys. I sent it to my sister in UK as a Christmas present. I been doing this for a few years now. We grew up on a farm in Kilkenny and she loves the earthy smells of all your range!

Both my daughter and I use Winter scents. We both love it. Sometimes we buy online and occasionally we take a trip to the perfumery to treat ourselves. Both offer a very good service.

Unique and earthy fragrance which accompany me the whole day long

From the first time I smelled this scent, i fell in love with it. I did not purchase it when we were there due to luggage restrictions. I had a few samples with me and once I got home I was able to order some and get it shipped. I use it every day and it reminds me of my wonderful vacation and calms me.

Good afternoon, I'm not a lover of perfumes for women because I find the fragrances too sweet, I have always preferred the perfumes for men, and have found in Winter Woods the best mix of sweet and bitter. I love it and many friends of mine (women) appreciate it and sometimes I have bought also for them. The first time I bought it at your shop and it also reminds me of the two beautiful trips to Ireland I made with my family in the past... Thank you!!

My daughters bought me a fragrance sampler for my last birthday, and I spent a couple of months in pandemic lock-down happily trying them out until I decided on my favorites. Thus this order of Frond lotion and Winter Woods eau de toilette, which I knew I would love before they arrived.

this is the only perfume that doesn't burn when I put it on, nor cause a rash. It also doesn't attract bee's which is very helpful because I am allergic to them. I also get tons of compliments about the smell. Thank you for making a great product.

When I visted last year in June I was not prepared to become enamoured with the Perfumery, the Burren or Country Clare, yet I did. I spent my time enjoying your beautiful gardens, being able to witness the enormous red poppy varietal that was behind the perfumery at the time, eating fresh scones (along with accidently feeding the beautiful, yet cheeky, black and white cat who sat patiently for my mother to be distracted enough to paw a peice off her plate and scamper off) along with the best fresh herb tea I have ever had. I also did not expect to be welcomed so fully and with complete hospitality of the staff - they are spectacular and gracious, who really helped me explore the scents up for offer. After trialing some scents and waiting for my biology to say 'yes' or 'no' to them, I got the yes from Frond and waited for Winter Woods to settle. I brought this scent because it not only smelled glorious but the way it reacted to my skin was like to was made for me chemically. I thought then that the scent, which was vastly different to my menthol and wattle Australian winter palette, was northern hemisphere, rich, deep and poetic - but as time passed it became more than that. This smell, Winter Woods, not only takes me back to visiting your estiblishment the first time with my family but also my time walking in nationally parks in Killarney, the Kylemore Abbey grounds and Tollymore Forest. The damp but not muddy soil, not quite rotten fallen leaves, pine fresh dewy mornings and woodfire smoke. There are also times when I smell this perfume and I think of late nights working in Dublin, cigarette smoke, pints with friends, the rain soaked pavement on Grafton as I walked home and following the paths in Stephen's Green so I couldn't inhale the city smell anymore. Not only does this perfume feel like the comfort of a home while also frolicking in three-week-wet nature, it brings back the memories of triumph, adversity and love I experienced all while wearing this scent. I have recently returned to my home in Australia and the smell was like a beacon when I sprayed it on my skin with trembling hands. I will always buy this perfume, I will always tell people who plan to vist Ireland to go to you - scent captures memory on a paper and makes the stamp timeless and infinite and for that, I thank you.

I love this perfume I know it’s say winter woods which would say it’s a winter perfume but I love the heavy sexy aromas it gives off so I wear it all year round A winner for me

My favourite everyday scent for late Autumn and Winter. Not overpowering. It is ideal for those who prefer woody scents to heavy floral scents for the colder months.

We were in Ireland on a week long trip (October 2019) and just happened upon the perfumery in Burren, when we arrived they had just closed up and someone was walking from the front door we mentioned that we were from the States and this was our first time to Ireland. She went to the door and reopened for us to enjoy this awesome place. We were able to get a introduction to the purfumery as well as a sample of the fragrances. I fell in love with Winter Woods and so did my son's fiance'. Due to the size restrictions on bringing them home I waited til Christmas to order. And I surprised others with a gift !! Winter Woods is a pleasant and definitive statement well described by its name. It will be my "go to" in the Fall and Winter. First came across the Winter Woods perfume when we were in Ireland in March 2018. I wear it every day and love it so much, I have just had 2 more bottles sent here to Queensland.

I have been in Ireland twice and I loved its colours, its blends its people its landscapes... this unique and original perfume reminds me of your country!
