(Gluten Free) Organic Flap Jacks

250g Organic Plain Flour 

or for the gluten free option:

200g Organic  Ground Almond 
50g Organic Mixed Seeds (Sunflower, Sesame, Pumpkin, or whatever)

650g Organic Jumbo Oats
430g Organic Butter
4 tablespoons of Golden Syrup
250g Organic Raw Cane Sugar (Brown)
Pinch of bicarbonate of soda


Mix the flour, oats, and bicarbonate of soda together (or almonds and seeds, if making the gluten free option).

Melt the butter in a pan. Do not boil or burn! Add the golden syrup and sugar. Add this mixture to the oats, flour, and soda. Mix well.

Put the mixture in a baking dish which has been greased and lined. Flatten the mixture with the back of a spoon.

Bake in a moderate hot oven until golden brown. About 45 minutes. Cut into squares while still warm, but allow to cool before removing from tray.
