We source our base ingredients either from small, reputable and caring companies who can guarantee quality and provenance or direct from growers. All our creams are formulated, blended and bottled by hand from our own formulations, in batches of 20 to 40 jars, at the Burren Perfumery, by Yvonne. We do NOT use petroleum-based ingredients, mineral oils or pre-made bases. We don't sell anything that we don't use ourselves.

We formulate skincare products from natural or naturally derived ingredients. The only synthetic ingredients we use are a small amount of necessary preservative (for safety). Water-based products are readily contaminated by bacteria and mould, which could potentially transfer to the skin, resulting in both external and internal infections. Such products require the use of preservatives to reduce the risk of this happening. We use a small amount of synthetic preservative to ensure product and customer safety, but the one we use is Parabens and Formaldehyde-FREE. INCI: Cetearyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol

Animal Testing: None of our products are tested on animals (apart from the Lavender and Mint Doggy Soap which is regularly tested on our dog Squeak) and our base ingredients come from suppliers who can certify likewise.

Recommended storage conditions.

  • Keep the product out of direct or strong sunlight and extremes of temperature.
  • Keep the lid tightly closed as much as possible.
  • Always use clean fingers or utensil when using the product.
  • Do not mix with other ingredients unless instructed on the label.
  • All of our products are FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY.
  • Always test patch before use to check for allergies.

Burren Perfumery Honey Lip and Face Balm

Made from our own Burren Perfumery honey and beeswax, this lip balm is one of our top sellers and a wonderful product for year round lip and face protection. Nourishing balm for use on dry or cracked lips during cold or sunny weather. Also good for dry facial skin.

Ingredients: Burren Perfumery Honey, Burren Perfumery Beeswax, Calendula Oil, Organic Sweet Orange Essential Oil.

Rose Absolute Cream - Regenerative

Delicate moisturizer for sensitive and mature skins. This very delicate and non-greasy face moisturizer is especially formulated for sensitive, dry and mature skin. Rose Absolute is recognized as a wonderfully nourishing and healing oil. All the base oils in this formula are also chosen for their nourishing and penetrating properties.

Ingredients: Apricot kernel oil, Rice Bran Oil, Macadamia Oil, Avocado Oil, Borage Oil, Natural Vit. E., BTMS, Cetearyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol (preservative), Pure Rose Absolute.

Chamomile and Rose Day Cream

A soothing and gentle day cream suitable for dry and sensitive skin types.

Lavender & Lemon Moisturizing Face Cream

Suitable for Oily or Acne prone skin types. This non-greasy formula uses olive squalane, borage and rosehip seed oils to moisturize and heal without clogging or overloading pores.

Ingredients: Avocado Oil, Olive Squalane, Macadamia Oil, Borage Oil, Rose Hip Seed Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Camellia sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract Natural Vitamin E, BTMS (emulsifier), Cetearyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol (preservative), Organic Lavender & Lemon Essential Oils.

Night Cream or Rich Day Cream - Unscented

A richer face cream suitable for dry and sensitive skin types. Full of nourishing and regenerative oils, this cream can be used as an enriching night cream or as a rich day cream for dry and very dry skins. Unscented and soothing.

Cedar & Lemongrass Hand Cream

A rich and moisturizing but absorbent hand cream for everyday use with the fresh tang of lemongrass.

Light Lavender Hand Lotion

A light and absorbent hand lotion for daily use. Lavender is traditionally known for its healing properties and is helpful for soothing rough, dry skin, small cuts and abrasions. This formula has a high percentage of Organic Lavender Essential Oil.

Gardener's Handcream

Soothes and heals. A nourishing barrier cream to protect and restore hands that work outside or skin that is chapped by harsh conditions. Apply both before and after work outside. This cream has a fresh lovely fresh lemon scent.

Ingredients: Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Avocado Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sunflower Oil, Natural Vitamin E, BTMS (emulsifier), Cetearyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol (preservative), Organic Lemongrass Essential Oil.

Healing Cream

A very very rich and nourishing healing cream. Specially formulated for use on very dry and rough skin, cracked hands and heels. Non-irritant, can also be used for psoriasis, eczema and other skin irritations. (always try test patch beforehand). Effective when applied thickly to the feet or hands under socks or gloves overnight for help with cracked heels or hands. The Tea tree and Rosemary oils are antiseptic and healing.

A wonderfully fragrant, soothing and moisturizing cream. A personal favorite. There is nothing quite like the smell of the Tiaré Flower.
